Results!
After going through all of the steps we talked about in the process page, this is what we found:
Bandwidth (P=0.311), song duration (P=0.1542), and trill rate (P=0.493) do not correlate with latitude or year. Here is the results from our total duration model:
Look at the "Pr(>ItI)" or the "P" column for short. For example, look at the time row. The model generated a number of -1.038e-04. So for every one degree of latitude, the But in the last column, the chance that that number doesn't actually exist is .6828 or 68.28%. The general acceptable number for science is 5%. 68% is absolutely unacceptable. Our first hypothesis was proved incorrect. There were similar results for trill rate and bandwidth. A little disappointing, but very interesting.
We did however find that terminal song was affected by it both in terms of latitude and year!
